STESSIE
Objectives
More specifically, the objectives are
1) Scientific evaluation and upgrading to TESSIE 2.0,
2) Training inspectors, evaluators, education providers on using TESSIE 2.0 and
3) Spreading TESSIE 2.0 in different European regions, raising awareness on social inclusion and informing policy.
Aims and partners
This toolbox and its innovative framework for (self-)evaluation will give schools, policy makers, inspectorates and evaluating bodies
1) a common language to discuss social inclusion,
2) training and tools to effectively implement inclusive education and
3) comparable data to enable evidence-based policy making at a European level. As such, this project will foster the education of disadvantaged learners.
Tackling social inclusion from the side of the inspectorates is innovative as they have a unique position in education which enables them to promote school improvement, to set new standards as well as to monitor and evaluate practices and school policies.
The project partners are the University of Ghent (Belgium), the Institute for advanced studies in education and training IH2EF (France) and the inspectorates or quality departments of Bulgaria, Estonia, Flanders, Malta and Serbia. This international cooperation with large expertise in social inclusion, research, training and project management will guarantee a successful outcome of the project.
