National Coordinators Open Forums
National coordinators serve as essential liaisons between SICI and their organizations. They facilitate communication, gather and share information on their organization’s activities, promote new SICI projects, and encourage collaboration with other SICI members. They can propose joint projects/networks of practice, advocate for their organization’s work, and support the exchange of best practices. Additionally, they identify ways for their organization to benefit from participation in SICI initiatives.
The monthly open forums have created a strong culture of collaboration, providing a platform for sharing updates, insights, resources, successes, and challenges. These meetings allow us to discuss concerns and achievements, form partnerships, gather perspectives, and brainstorm collectively. National coordinators can reflect on progress, address obstacles, make adjustments, and strive for continuous improvement, driving a spirit of innovation and learning. Regular interactions foster dialogue and help members clarify their roles, strengths, and areas of focus.
These forums have generated numerous examples of successful cooperation, fostering a proactive approach to problem-solving and enabling swift responses to challenges. Bringing everyone together monthly strengthens our collective impact, supports strategic decision-making, and builds bonds among members. This shared space enhances communication and helps us recognize how our work contributes to broader organizational goals, boosting motivation. We’re proud of all that we’ve accomplished together!
Job shadowing and study visits
We have updated the documents:
- Information on the organisation of the GA and workshops
- Information on study visits and job shadowing: SICI encourages and supports its members to participate in study visits / job shadowing to other organisations. Both the host and visiting inspectorates, quality departments… benefit from such visits:
- They facilitate mutual sharing of experience and expertise in relation to inspection, quality assurance.
- They support the visiting organisation to explore new ways of inspecting and to develop their processes.
- They facilitate the host to demonstrate their developments and to reflect on the effectiveness of their processes.
- We have also offered support for attending the SICI workshops or ‘structured courses’
